Awww sick.

The suckiest thing about being a stay at home mommy is that you can't call in sick for work. In the words of my favorite toddler, "It's not too fair." I feel like caw caw. I want to got to bed, and I don't want any kids in there with me. Who wants some kids? I got two of them... Free to a good home. Any takers?

  1. Hey, I hope you feel better soon. I've been there (in the past few weeks) and I WISH someone would've taken the kids. Why does no one ever do that? Our pastor even preached on "If you know a mom who's sick, why not take her kids or cook her a meal or do some laundry?!" No one. (Well, except my mom, bless her heart.)

Hopefully you'll be better if you're away for Thanksgiving and have family to look after you there????

(Can you tell I want you to be better for our little rendezvous next week?!)

  9. Feel better Becky!
PS. Why do we say that phrase? I think it's short for "I hope you feel better" but it comes out sounding like a command, as though you can just will it away, suck it up, and move on...hmm...try again.
Sorry you feel crappy. I hope it passes very very quickly and that you have some peace in the meantime.

  11. Aww, I just finished getting over a cold, and I can't imagine how it would have been having kids. I didn't even clean out poor Patrick's litter box for 3 days. He wasn't too impressed. If I were there, I'd offer to help you out... even though children somewhat scare me. Hope you feel better soon!!

I never thought about what Melanie said, but you know... FEEL BETTER!! Dooo iiiit.

  13. Sorry you aren't feeling well. There should be some place parents can go when they are not well. Some place where when you arrive, your kids are whisked away by totally awesome childcare workers, and you are whisked away by some hot male nurse who will take care of you until you are feeling better. Oh wait, I think that was a dream I had once. :)
