Chapter Three: Ben Gets a Leash

He likes it. He thinks it's a seatbelt and he is big into seatbelts lately.

I still let him go off-road to do a little helter skelter wandering...

  1. Hey Becky! I was camping all weekend and missed all the action. I check your blog regularly and from what I have seen and read I think you are doing an amazing job raising your boys! We ALL make mistakes unfortunatly! But look at that little boys smile in these pictures and you can see that he is loved and happy and has a great Mommy! Don't be so hard on yourself! Your boys are lucky to have you!

  2. that is awesome. lol. when i come i wanna walk ben!!!! he's such a funny guy.

  3. Those leashes are the coolest thing. Becky I think you are a wonderful mother. I did the same thing with Melanie. She was already through the first set of doors and playing with the bubble gum machines when a nice man picked her up and walked around the store with her until I saw her. I won't even tell you how many times Robyn got away on me. I don't think there is a mother alive who couldn't tell you a story like that. You love your boys and that is very obvious to anyone who knows you. You are doing a great job and don't let anyone tell you differently especially someone who isn't even close to you.

  4. Ben looks pretty happy to me. Keep up the great job you are doing!! ( and have always done)

  5. He looks like the cutest little pet you've ever seen! I want to take him for a walk too!

  6. i think leashes are a fantastic idea for kids!
if you ask me they should have had one for me too! not just when i was ben's age though, when i was around 13-17 too:p
Lukie already is so much like me, he just cant sit still for 5 seconds without wanting to stand, sit up, anything, just not laydown. the cuddling thing is pretty much over cause all he wants to do is jump in his jolly jumper and stand.
even when he is tired, he isnt a fan of cuddling and laying down.

  7. That is just great Becky, now I can walk Ben and Roscoe at the same time and now fear of either of them getting away on me. I love it.

  8. no fear, no no no. I can spell.
